Calendar Art

We are so proud of our art that we created for our calendars.    We put them all together.  They look fantastic!!!

SNOW SNOW SNOW !!!

Last night I played in the snow.  I played with my friend Sharanya.  We played snow fights and we made a snowman.  My friend Mateney and Nena helped me. It was shiny and beautiful yellow.

On Sunday it was snowing.  Our next door neighbour told us that it was snowing.  We made a snowman.  We had a snowball fight.  On Room 11 and the PE shed the snow was amazing.  I like the snow.  It was shining on the roof.  My Mum put the snow pictures on facebook!  I put my mac pak jacket on.

Last night it was snowing.  It was fun.  It is freezing.  I played snow fights.  It falls from the sky.  It is white.  I like it.  It looks beautiful. When you stamp on it, it crunches.

Term 3 - Welcome back

We hope you all had an enjoyable break in the holidays.  We have an exciting term planned. Over the next few weeks we will be doing art for our calendars.  You will be able to purchase these soon.  They will make great presents. The children will also be learning about how to be a good host this term as part of our Come to my place social sciences unit.  We have lots of exciting activities planned.

On Friday we had measurement day. We weighed lots of different things. Here are some of the things that we enjoyed.

On measurement day I liked going to Room 11. We made chocolate fudge. It was yummy.

On measurement day I liked cooking chocolate fudge with Ms Welch. At home I want to cook with my Mum. Sometimes my Dad cooks. One day I am going to cook with my Mum and Dad.

I look outside my window ...

 At writing time today we closed our eyes and thought about what we could see when we look out our bedroom windows.  Below you will find the fantastic writing that we did.

 

 

I look at the house.

When I look out my window I see my neighbour’s house.  I am allowed in their house. When it’s raining he takes me and Haylee to school and when it’s sunny I like going to their house! It is fun at their house.  I like my neighbour’s house.

When I look out my window I see a plane.  Me and my sister sleep in the toy room by ourselves. It is fun for me.  I see stars out my window.  Then I go to bed, I sleep on my right and I see butterflies too!  Do you see butterflies when you are sleeping?

When I look out my window I see my cat and I see my dog.  See the big cat and my dog going up.  My cat went to play on the fence.  It is fun for the cat.

When I look outside my window I can see a butterfly and it is yellow and it is purple.  I saw another one in the trees and it had pink and it was pretty.

Week 2 - We are quiet ...

This week we thought about a time that we had been quiet. First we wrote about it and then we drew pictures. Come and check out our stories in Room 11.

Week 1

We had a good week in Room 11. The children spent the week learning the routines of life in Room 11 and have settled in nicely. It was great getting to know the children more and also meeting parents. We encourage you to come and have a look at our classroom if you have not done so already. We love sharing all the work that we have done.

Welcome to Room 11's blog. My name is Ms Jennifer Welch and I am looking forward to teaching your wonderful children. Our classroom has just been done up.
